Surgical Services Department
At Crossroads Community Hospital (CCH), inpatient and outpatient surgeries are performed 5 days per week, with emergency surgeries available as needed. CCH has an experienced surgery team including skilled surgeons, specialized equipment, and life-saving interventions. The caring surgical services nurses will make sure you are comfortable and informed and the anesthesia team will manage your pain. Our newly expanded surgical services department consists of 5 operating suites (2 with laminar air flow), 1 urology room and 1 endoscopy room. Also included in the surgical services area is a new central sterile suite along with an 8 bed post- anesthesia recovery unit and our 12 bed same day surgery unit.
Pre-admission testing is conducted prior to a surgical procedure at CCH. It usually includes lab work, an EKG, chest x-ray, physical assessment and history. These studies are conducted to recognize and correct any abnormalities prior to surgery. Education, instruction and an uncomplicated recovery are our goals, and they are accomplished at CCH by giving continuity of care both before and after surgery.
